Open position at Netcontrol’s Helsinki office: Electrical designer

Netcontrol is looking for an Electrical Designer for our office in Helsinki, Finland.

In this role, you will design solutions that support the modernization of electrical grids and sustainable energy production. Netcontrol offers you interesting tasks, a permanent employment contract and the opportunity to develop into a top expert in the field! The start date can be arranged flexibly.

Your tasks as an Electrical Designer

Your main responsibility will be designing substation cabinets for transformers and substations. The cabinets contain Netcontrol substations and related components. Your work will include:

• Creating layout drawings, circuit diagrams, parts lists and wiring lists for the cabinets
• Ensuring the safety and functionality of the cabinets through your designs
• Participating in the configuration and testing of substations and tasks related to deliveries
• Collaborating with sales, production and project teams

In your design work, you will use both standard models and customized solutions. You will use EPLAN and AutoCAD to create designs according to customer requirements and select the most suitable components. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various development projects.

What Netcontrol expects from you

You will be successful in this task if you have:

• An understanding of the basics of electrical design and knowledge of electrical safety standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar software
• Experience in electrical design or a related field
• Applicable education (e.g. engineering or other technical degree)
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills
• An independent approach to work but also the ability to collaborate and the courage to ask questions

Considered as an advantage:

• Experience with electrical grids, transformers, substations or data networks
• Swedish language skills
